This addition/remodel of an old mountain cabin keeps the charm of the existing building while creating a tightly insulated building envelope. The addition is made from Insulated Concrete forms and Structural Insulated Panels. The electric baseboard heating system is replaced with high efficiency forced air. Well insulated windows, finger jointed studs, fiber cement lap siding, a small footprint, and a roof mounted Photovoltaic system are several of the sustainable concepts integrated into this building.
